This sound recording starts with a carton of organic soymilk being poured into a metal pitcher. The pitcher is then placed under the steaming wand attached to a Mastrena High Performance Espresso Machine. The steaming wand touches the bottom of the pitcher that contains the milk and is then pulled down to reach just the top of the milk where we hear the liquid ripping noise to create the delightful foam on top of a latte. The sound primarily heard is Proctor Creek running under a bridge. The audio file is interspersed with people talking and, later in the video, cicadas. This sound file was recorded near the beginning of Proctor Creek Greenway at the first bridge that overlooks the creek. This intended sound is especially soothing because of how well it contrasts with the harsher sounds from the city. Because of its smoothness, the creek provides a calming, welcoming presence to Proctor Creek Greenway.
