Recorded sound of birds and cicadas at the Proctor Creek Greenway in Atlanta Georgia. Though the birds and cicadas are the main subject in the audio, there are signals such as wind, walking and talking that add to the soundscape of the audio. These sounds create a welcoming culture for the Proctor Creek Greenway. These natural sounds act as an escape from the busy Atlanta and allow people to relax and thrive. Recorded with Zoom H6 recorder and Rode NTG2 shotgun condenser microphone.

Nestled into the safe comfort of a road-side branch, a group of baby birds call out to their mother. Three times, the call of another bird rises above the other bird calls. A perceptive ear can catch the faint calls of other birds that intermittently enter the soundscape.

Recording of a Speed Queen Industrial Washer in the Blackwell Residence Hall laundry room running a hot water cycle with four quarters inside. A stereo pair of contact mics by JrL were attached to the soap drawer and base of the machine, while a Zoom H4n Handy Recorder with unidirectional stereo mics was held about three inches in front of the porthole (four total audio tracks).
