This is a recording of crickets chirping along with sounds of resting lake water near the Furman University Bell Tower at night. The lake water sounds similar to wind and can be heard throughout the clip. Faint voices and laughter are heard as students were taking night walks around the notorious Furman University lake. In this recording, I am crumpling up an Einstein Bros. Bagels bagel wrapping paper. The material that the wrapping paper is made out of is a brown wax paper. The recording was done in a large public space, however, background sounds are not heard. The sound was recorded on an iPhone 5S.
This recording captured the unique recorded message and musical jingles of the Denver International Airport Train. This train travels underground to take passengers to different terminals. In the tunnel, small fans are mounted on the walls that spin and generate energy. The recorded messages on the train are often the voices of city leaders of Denver, from the mayor to the coach of the Avalanche.
The creator of the sound presses the metal button on a pedestrian crosswalk warning light and it audibly beeps. This assists individuals who are visually-impaired in safely crossing the street; the tone is louder on the other side of the crosswalk so that individuals know which direction to walk toward.
