This is a recording of the wire bridge at the beginning of the Proctor Creek Greenway as it is being struck with our hands. The low rumble of a lawn mower can be heard in the background. The sturdiness of the bridge evokes a sense of safety as one crosses it, and its smooth transition to the trail is indicative of a safe pathway. Recorded with a Zoom H6 recorder and Rode NTG2 shotgun condenser.

This sound recording is of branches snapping as they are being bent and broken by a person's hands. The branches were small, dry, and brittle as they had already fallen from the nearby trees on the side of Furman University's library. Recorded on Han4 Pro Zoom.
Sound Recording of a select part of a game of pick-up basketball in the Brodie Gymnasium on Duke University's East Campus during a Monday afternoon. Recorded from the bench on an iPhone 5s.
The sound included is the broken faucet in my room at the Brandt dorms. You can hear that I am methodically pulling the faucet handle, and the resulting strained flow of the water itself. You can hear the stuttering and stopping of the water flowing as it struggles to work with broken pipes. This is a recording made on an iPhone 7 voice memos app.
