Sound recording of a 1926 Vega Tenor Banjo plucked between the bridge and saddle in 16 bit WAV format on a Zoom H6. This four stringed instrument is made of wood, hide, and metal hardware. The saddle is the metal base for the ends of each string to rest in and the bridge is a wooden piece that strings vibrate upon between the saddle where the opposite end of each string wraps around a tuning peg. The instrument is generally played in Dixieland Jazz and Irish Jigs. This sound recording is included because I often pluck this section of the banjo in between songs. It reminds me of a plunky wind chime.
A custodian fiddles with his keys as he waits for the elevator to arrive. We stand in a crowded waiting area for an elevator; there are many elevators in this area. A pre-recorded male voice announces: “Floor 1, going up.” The custodian plays music aloud from his phone as he enters the elevator. This recording portrays the everyday lives of those who may not be receiving nor directly giving care, but who facilitate the overall flow and cleanliness of a hospital. A woman in the elevator exclaims, “Beautiful!” The woman’s exclamation demonstrates the multiplicity of emotion and experience in the hospital. This interaction signifies the diversity of interactions that one may experience in a hospital setting.
The 3rd floor of West Village by the Starbucks. The low murmur of students' voices as they study and socialize and music played by Starbucks. Sharp sound of chair being pulled out followed by an opening and closing door as a student leaves. Recoded on IPhone 6 microphone.
Sound of Cathedral of the Sacred Heart organist playing before Sunday mass.
Recording of Valentine’s Day door handle bell jingles in a small room, recorded on an iPhone 7. The constant shaking in an up and down motion forcing the bells to bounce against each other is what causes some of the sound to have a clacking effect different from the lighter constant jingle noise.
The video of Dorothy Donegan playing the piano reminded me of my keyboard at home. In my room on my Yamaha keyboard I played every key from left to right.
A brief audio excerpt exported from one of my songs, which is mainly just an original piano riff which I altered, and added glitching effects to. There is also added bass and percussion. Song was made through the program FL Studio.

This is one of my favorite instrumentals ever. It has great sounds and is extremely relaxing. The lyrics in this song are done my Future and the song is called Hallucinating.
A steel string cedar-wood guitar is prepared by weaving a 1/2 inch x 4 inch piece of folded paper between the strings of a guitar near the bridge, which creates a more percussive quality to the strings when struck by reducing the sustain of the string and emphasizing the attack of the notes. The melody utilizes the phrygian mode of western music, a mode often used in folk music around the world. Recorded on a Yeti Omnidirectional Condenser Microphone in a small room.
