The following sound was recorded inside a supposedly "quiet room" in Georgia Tech campus at 20:45. The sounds of talking and keyboards being used are really easily heard, which makes one question the effectiveness of this "quiet room". It was recorded with an iPhone 6.
Sound recording of the soundscape of a study room in Georgia Tech's West Village Dining Hall. A study room typically involves individuals with laptops, books, and pencils; thus, the sounds of keyboard typing, page turning, and pen/pencil writing create the feel of a quiet study environment. However, a dining hall infused in a large, open study area exists behind the thin door leading into the study room. The soundscape of the study room as a result was recorded in relation to the soundscapes of the adjacent open area.
Sound recording of the rooftop garden on top of the Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons on a windy afternoon. The primary sounds include a group of students collaborating together for a project along with birds chirping. The strong winds and the machinery noise from the Bunger-Henry building's roof across Tech Green are the secondary sounds. The sound was recorded with an Apple iPhone 7 using the voice memos application.
A recording of the usually flooded Skiles walkway at Georgia Tech. Today, a calm Saturday afternoon, the space was instead serene with the chirping of birds and a small echo of a performance in the amphitheater across Tech Green. There is also a light murmur of people playing Frisbee on the green. This is a rare sight to see as on any weekday there would be a cascade of noise on the walkway. This is a sound recording of someone sitting down, preparing to study on the third floor of West Village Dining near the Starbucks, on a Saturday at 11:00 am. Recorded with an iPhone 6. The sound of the chair screeching across the floor along with the person making contact with the chair is heard, as that is the main focus of the audio. In the background there are faint sounds of the music from the Starbucks as well the person making contact with the table, by placing items on it and adjusting the chair.

Flipping the pages of a religious studies textbook in the busy floor of the Library. The scratchy sound of the pages rubbing together create a warm sound that sounds like its going to be story time! Recorded on a Zoom H1 recorder.
