This natural sound is of a hand forcefully plucking away at a bouquet of wilted magenta rose petals leftover from the Valentines holiday. Generating a powerful yet soft velvety crunch as the hands aggressively pluck at the petite dead rose buds. Recorded on a Samson GOmic in a small brick apartment.

Nestled into the safe comfort of a road-side branch, a group of baby birds call out to their mother. Three times, the call of another bird rises above the other bird calls. A perceptive ear can catch the faint calls of other birds that intermittently enter the soundscape.

The recording is the sound of a man casting his line into the Eno River. The sound of the river is present, and when listening closely one can hear the casting of the line. The sound piece was recorded on a clear, windy day. The recording device was about 10 feet away from the man casting his line so some of the sounds may be slightly muffled. An iPhone 4 was used to record this sound piece.
