A handful of coins are dropped into a wooden box one by one.

Coins are shuffled as they are counted and recounted in the palm of a hand. 

A metal spoon scrapes the last few Cheerios from a ceramic bowl.

Nine coins are dropped a short distance onto a wooden table.

The sound included is the broken faucet in my room at the Brandt dorms. You can hear that I am methodically pulling the faucet handle, and the resulting strained flow of the water itself. You can hear the stuttering and stopping of the water flowing as it struggles to work with broken pipes. This is a recording made on an iPhone 7 voice memos app. 

I drop coins into the palm of my hand, one on top of the other.

These are the sounds of a point being played out in a volleyball drill. In the drill, there are six players on either side of the net and each team is trying to get three consecutive points. This was recorded at a practice of the VCU club volleyball team from a few feet away from the court. These sounds consist of the volleyball hitting the forearms of passers, players hitting the volleyball, and communication between the players. Running can also be heard as players go after the ball. Recorded on a zoom.
