SoundScape: Venezuelan band
This is recorded audio from a Afro-venezuelan band that performed at the Richmond folk festival in Brown's park Richmond, Virginia. The group is called "Betsayda Machado y La Parranda El Clavo" and they were giving the audience quite the show. I was lucky enough to be able to capture audio of Ms. Machado singing, and it was very impressive. She had such a booming voice and was able to project well with her microphone, and she made sure to keep the audience interested as you hear in the background people murmuring and chatting. I was unable to identify the songs that they were performing, however it seemed that they were primarily focusing on songs that celebrated the Afro-venezuelan culture.
