Ashley: What? Go back to him? Peyton: Why, yes. Ashley: I'm not ever going back there. Peyton: You're saying then that you've upped and left -- him and everything? Ashley: There didn't seem anything else to do. Peyton: But you've done it so openly! Ashley: You can't keep things of that sort exactly quiet. Peyton: But have you thought what people will say about you? Ashley: They can go and say whatever they damn well please. There was no way around it for me.
